Writers' Tears Red Head Single Malt

This whiskey was matured in Oloroso Sherry casks which have contributed some richness and depth along with a reddish tint. The nose is fresh boasting notes of tropical fruits, melon, apples, boiled sweets, delicate spices and juicy sultanas. The palate is energizing, smooth and medium bodied. A great mix of malted grains, tropical fruits and ginger. The sherry notes are subtle but the quality is obvious. Occasional dried fruit notes pop through.
