Meyer Fonne Pinot Blanc
Pinot Blanc Vieilles Vignes comes from a plot of old vines, it acts like Pinot Gris on the nose — rich, oily apricot and pear fruit— but the touch of white pepper and taste of freshly squeezed oranges is classic Pinot Blanc. The palate is likewise rich and honeyed with a streak of minerality, a smoky side, and a touch of citrus.
“Probably the best value white wine available in the whole of France” M. Bettane
” … This is where the true wine bargains are to be had – places like Alsace, Cahors and Provence in France, almost all of Austria, Germany, many smaller Argentine estates, and Italy beyond Tuscany, Piedmont and Veneto. This delight is from Alsace. It is a lavish, full-bodied white with rounded honey flavours over hints of apricot, touches of lemon and a fine, medium length, clean finish. Often paired with fish but just as delicious with stuffed pork.”
