Chateau Peyredon Lagravette Haut Medoc

Planted on the outstanding Graves Quaternaires in the Champs de Medrac, Peyredon is on one of the smallest Cru Bourgeois with only 4,000 cases produced on 10 hectares. The very old vines were hand harvested. A blend of 63% Cabernet Sauvignon and 37% Merlot. Aged in French Oak for 12 months. Amazingly complex nose with aromas of black fruit that are dominated by blackberry and raspberry. It has a pleasant grilled flavour, is very round and rich, and is remarkably balanced overall with elegant, mellow tannin. It has an equally appealing, long finish.
